Lolita Blog Carnival ~ A Peek Inside of my Closet!

This week's Lolita Blog Carnival is going to give you a peek at my wardrobe.
I've decided to make a video for this post (saving taking all of the photos until EGL's wardrobe post theme~) and have only included my main pieces (OPs, JSKs, skirts).

Lolita Blog Carnival ~ 3 Lolita Trends I Could Never Get Into...

I had never really thought about things in Lolita fashion that I could not get into, so I started looking at photos and found a few I've realized are not for me.

WARNING: I have used Polyvore and I am not the best with it, so I'm sorry for terrible photos ; u ;

Lolita Blog Carnival ~ A Piece I Have Not Worn in a Long Time and Why I am Holding Onto It?

To be honest, I sold quite a bit of items I did not wear... I do have a few pieces I've bought within the past few months I have not worn yet, but I am definitely not selling them any time soon!

Lolita Blog Carnival ~ Lolita Mixed with a Different Alternative Fashion!

For this week's Lolita Blog Carnival topic I decided I would mix Lolita and Fairy-kei... two of my favorite styles! Angelic Pretty has actually been catering a bit more to fairy kei (in my opinion) and I love it! Be curious and see two outfits I whipped up!

1 Year Anniversary Outfit~

Since I did not participate in this week's Lolita Blog Carnival topic, I decided I still needed to try to post! On July 18 Matthew and I had our one year anniversary and of course I dressed up!
Here is my outfit:

Lolita Blog Carnival ~ How do I Break the "Rules" of Lolita?

This weeks topic is about breaking the "rules" of Lolita. What rules, some of you may ask... well,
you can read some about it here or look through a lot of posts here.
How do I, personally, break the rules of Lolita?

Lolita Blog Carnival~ Reactions to Me Wearing Lolita!

I'm sure most lolitas have heard these comments (I know I have!):
"Are you Little Bo Peep? Where are your sheep?"
"Hey Alice, Wonderland is that way!"
"What play are you in?"
"You do know it isn't Halloween, right?"

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 30! COMPLETE.

Day 30 – A photo of yourself taken today and 3 good things that’s happened over the last 30
days.
I worked 12-9 today, so here is a webcam photo I just took, haha.
Now, three good things that have happened... well, I turned 19? I got some birthday money and bought the sax Jewelry Jelly OP from Lolita Desu. I also won an auction on mbok for Dream Fantasy set in sax! Should be paying for that by the end of this week and once Celga receives it I will be on its way to me! Mine and my boyfriend's one year anniversary is coming up soon (July 18) and Katerina will be here this Friday (July 5)! It has been since last October since I got to see her.

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 28 and 29!

Since it is almost 1 am here I figured I will just do these two posts together!

Day 28 – A picture of the perfect lolita location.
Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens
It may not be the perfect location, but I want to visit the Dallas and the Fort Worth botanical gardens. I have been to the Fort Worth gardens once, but it has been a while. They just look so beautiful in photos and from what my friends who have gone have told me!

Day 29 – A picture of a lolita you would love to meet for real.
Lovelylor
This is kind of difficult... but probably Princess Peachie? Or maybe Lovelylor... They both seem so down to earth, nice, and funny! Plus... we could play Animal Crossing together! Haha.

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 27!

Day 27 – One song that fits your favorite lolita style.

My favorite style would be Sweet Lolita, so here we go!
Haha! Just kidding!

Candy Candy by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is nice and cute!

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 26!

Day 26 – Your Facebook profile picture.
My boo and I!
ALSO, PLEASE READ! I'm sure some have heard Google Friend Connect (Google Reader?) is supposed to be shutting down (on Monday, from what I have heard). I do have the option for people to follow me on Bloglovin'. I use it to follow sales comms and several blogs and it is really easy to use! You can follow me on Bloglovin' here~

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 25!

Day 25 – Your favorite lolita themed artwork.

I love to see Imai Kira's artwork; it is simply lovely.
This is one of my favorites, as I love Alice in Wonderland.
I also love just browsing the internet and looking at lolita themed art.
Princess Peachie has cute art, some lolita and some not.
I also look through the "lolita art" tag on Tumblr and Lolita Tips has an art tag.
Pixiv has some nice lolita artwork also!

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 23!

Day 23 – A picture of your handwriting.

Since this was a pretty boring post... here are photos of my outfit I wore out the other day!
It was too hot for lolita and so I wore fairy kei.

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 22!

Day 22 – A picture of your room.

I apologize. Today has been a busy day as I worked and was out doing things for my birthday (even though it is tomorrow- the 24th). It is late now, so I will update this in the morning with pictures of my room and will also get Day 23 ready for you. Thank you!

Edit: Here are the photos of my room! Please excuse the mess, my boyfriend is over now and I've been out quite a bit~

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 21!

Day 21 – Your favorite fictional lolita.

I'm probably going along with a lot of other people on this one, but Momoko from Kamikaze Girls. I love her attitude and when she wants something, she gets it. The book is very good and the movie is pretty funny. I suggest reading the book and watching the movie!

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 20!

Day 20 – A picture of a lolita friend.

I consider a lot of girls in the Metroplex community friends~ I mean, we are more than acquaintances and talk quite a bit when we're around each other- some of us even talk online quite a bit. I wish I could hang out with a lot of them more, but I live too far away right now!

Thursday, June 20, 2013

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 19!

Day 19 – What’s in your make-up bag?

I've got make-up bags in my make-up box. Hmmm.
I'm reallllly lazy when it comes to make-up.

I have a LOT of eyeshadow. I've got dark shades, light shades, glittery eyeshadow...
I've got quite few different mascaras to give different effects. Longer lashes, fuller lashes- or I mix them all up and hope it gives all of the effects ヽ( ̄д ̄;)ノ I also have falsies in my make-up box.
The thing I have way too much of... is stuff for my lips. Mainly chapsticks. I've also got a few lipsticks, lip gloss, Baby Lips chap/lipstick. Yeah.
I have a few blushes, mainly just light pink and dark pink. I try to say away from the red-tinted blushes, they make me look weird.
I of course have concealer, primer, BB cream, foundation, powder... but I don't use them too often, although I probably should! I mainly only use them when I dress up or I actually feel like wearing make-up.

50 Lolita Questions ♥(ノ´∀`)

There was a post going around tumblr with 50 Lolita questions, so I figured I would answer them!

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 17!

Day 17 – What do you want more then anything right now?

Dream Sky lavender OP ;  n  ;
I cried when I came home from work the other night and found out I had missed the re-release.
Now I'm just set on getting other items I want and waiting until I can just find the original.
I know I shouldn't be that upset by it- everyone keeps saying "it's just a dress"... but... my dream dress </3

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 16!

Day 16 – Your outfit for the day.

Well, I did go out today, but was already feeling a little nauseous and it was very hot, so I did not wear lolita. Here is an outfit picture from the last time I wore lolita out~

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 12!

Day 12 – A picture of yourself before lolita came in to your life.

Before I wore lolita clothes I wore a lot of band shirts, skinnies,... stuff like that.

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 11!

Day 11 – One day in your lolita life in pictures.

Unfortunately I do not have pictures from a whole "day in my lolita life". Next time my boyfriend and I go out I will be sure to dress in lolita and kind of document what I do. For now I can share some meet-up photos!

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 10!

Day 10 – What’s in your bag?
I don't have a bag I carry all the time, but this is what I almost always take with me.

(minus a few items, and that is not my legit camera, I had to use it to take the pic ~ lol)
  • My wallet! I have to have my license and money with me.
  • My phone~ to take photos, instagram, Facebook, text!
  • Chapstick. I have sooo much chapstick, so I always have different ones or several with me.
  • I carry my camera with me a lot, just in case.
  • My birth control~ I have to take it everyday, so I have to make sure to have it.
  • Gum (when I have it) or mints. Fresh breath is the best breath.
  • A comb or brush. My hair/wigs can get crazy sometimes.
  • Deodorant and body spray. Especially during the hotter months... (Also a folding fan during summer months).
  • Face powder and mascara. Just the little basics for make-up.

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 9!

Day 9 – 10 things you will never do in lolita.

Panda Roll
panda roll
  1. Deep sea diving... or even swimming, for that matter! (*≧ω≦)ノ
  2. Roll down a nice, grassy hill. Grass stain lolita? Uhhh...
  3. Climb Mount Everest! Or could that become a world record? "First to climb Mt. Everest in full Lolita clothing!" (。 >艸<)
  4. Murder someone. Uhm, no blood on my brand please. (This should be in 10 things I will never do- ever.)
  5. Play mud football! or regular football, soccer, basketball... or any sport, haha.
  6. Work out. No need to wear my frills to go get all sweaty and smelly.
  7. Change the oil in my car, especially since I don't know how to anyways!
  8. Hold a skunk.
  9. Paint will all the colors of the wind. THAT WOULD BE EVERYWHERE.
  10. Start a fight in a bar.
    pocahontas/bow

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 8!

Day 8 – 10 songs that inspire you for lolita.
I've actually never really thought about this, so let's see how this goes, haha.

Saturday, June 8, 2013

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 7!

Day 7 – 10 people who inspire your lolita style.
This will be difficult since I really just browse everywhere for inspiration.

realisticsweet
  1. Princess Peachie~ I love to see her outfits (in and out of lolita). She has a little magical touch in all of her outfits!
  2. Realisticsweet on Yaplog. I really like how she can give some of her sweet coords a more ~"mature"~ feel to them.
  3. I've recently found Miss Lillith and she REALLY makes me want to have more gothic/darker pieces! I follow her Tumblr and Instagram in order to see her outfits, haha.
  4. Teapartymadness on LJ (daily lolita). She has simple, yet elegant outfits. They're also mainly sweet... and I love sweet! Might I also add that I think she is just STUNNING.
It’s kind of funny, but I didn’t even realize it was International Lolita Day until I checked tumblr earlier. xD
Happy loliday everyone! <3
    misslillith
  5. Cadney! Yet, another sweet lolita~ She has her super, cute OTT coords and her toned down- cute, yet mature coordinates also. I think I really have taken a liking to more mature sweet lolita. Though I still love the childish and colorful coodinates too!
  6. I haven't seen too many lolita outfits of late from Pastelbat. I love seeing all of her outfits and take a lot of inspiration from her lolita, fairy kei, and creepy cute ones.
So, I honestly cannot think of anyone else I get a lot of inspiration from. I know there are a few more, but I am brain-dead after almost 9 hours of work! Sorry!

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 6!

Day 6 – 10 things you can’t live without in lolita.

Meci, Justin, and I
  1. Supportive friends and family. My mother was very supportive of this since she likes the modest look and likes that I express myself. She will crack jokes about my outfits sometimes, but I know she is just picking at me. She will sometimes steal my head bows and wear them around, too ♡ My dad, well... he doesn't really care, haha. I've gone out to do things with him in pretty casual lolita and he didn't mind, so... all is well! My boyfriend and friends all support and love seeing me in lolita, which makes me very happy. My best friend, Katerina, will dress up with me sometimes (although she's in the Navy now ; __ ; ) and my other best friend, Justin (he was my current boyfriend when I got into the fashion, and he helped a lot), is trying to get into kodona.
  2. Meet-ups and the Metroplex Lolitas! When I first started lolita I didn't really think about being in a community. When I did start to think about it I thought they were all so far away that I would never be able to attend meet-ups. I finally found out about the Metroplex Lolitas and they are only a 2 - 2 and a half hour drive from here, and Justin said he would take me and go with me! I finally got to attend my first meet-up towards the end of 2012. I had a lot of fun! It is nice to be around other girls who wear the same fashion, and I don't talk to many people, so getting out with a group of people once a month or two is very nice! Not to mention, you can dress up and go alll out since you won't be by yourself~
  3. Petticoats and poof! I will admit, if I'm just going out somewhere for a short amount of time, but REALLY want to dress up- I will wear a small pannier or no petticoat *gasp*! However, when I am going out somewhere and will be out and about for a while, I wear my petticoat.
  4. The internet. This is wear I buy 99.99% of my lolita clothing. Second hand sites/groups, auctions, webshops... I can also look up information, coordinates, reviews, and so on. If it wasn't for the internet- I would not even wear lolita.
  5. Bodyline and other "off"brands. Cheap shoes and blouses among other things! These can be very helpful to get the basics for your wardrobe. Bodyline also offers cheap dresses and skirts, so you can build your wardrobe more with those for more daily wear or casual wear.
  6. The postal service. Without this there would be no way for me to have my items shipped to me for me to obtain. I complain a lot about USPS since their services seem to be slacking. Fed ex and UPS are expensive... but in all reality, I need the postal services. A lot.
  7. This used to not be too high of a priority for me... but shopping services. I've realized you can get some sweet deals on Japanese auction sites. Even paying the fees and shipping you can still find some items cheaper than buying second-hand from another seller.
  8. Inspiration and confidence. Need I say more?
  9. Accessories, socks/tights, make-up, bloomers, my camera. Just to throw all of these out there! I like to have at least a few accessories. I don't really like to show my legs, so I looove tights and OTKs. I will sometimes wear UTKs and every now and then might just wear crew/ankle socks and show my legs... Make-up? I think it can help make the look. There have been times I have not worn it (see #3), but I usually try to wear it- even if it is just a little. Bloomers- or shorts, they work. So long as know one can see your underwear! My camera because I like to take pictures of my outfits and I just like to take pictures in general, haha.
  10. Two of the most obvious things you need in lolita. Lolita clothing... duh! Money to obtain lolita clothing! I am always asking my manager to give me as many hours as possible because the more extra money I have the more I can spend on lolita (and other things). That will change when school starts and I move out, etc. But that day will come later... haha.

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 5!

Day 5 – 10 items from your wishlist.
Oh, this will be tough...

Angelic Pretty/hellolace
Angelic Pretty/hellolace
  1. Dream Sky OP in lavender. Oh, how I wish I owned this! I would love to have an original, but I'm taking a shot with the re-release since it is more affordable... I just hope I can be lucky enough to get it.
  2. Milky Planet Salopette in lavender. I love the print of Milky Planet and I love the scallops on the original... so when I saw the salopette I fell in love with it! If I could get the original Milky Planet I would want the halter neck JSK in blue.
  3. Bodyline's Musical Note JSK in white (Melody Doll replica). For some reason I have a real liking for this dress. I like that it is so simple.
  4. Toy Fantasy JSK in blue. The print is just so cute... and in blue it is just even better!
  5. Heart Marble Chocolate and Sugar Coated Cookies scalloped JSK in sax. I adore the rounded color, heart buttons, and the print over all!
  6. Twilight Circus JSK II in ivory. I saw this print... and just... wow.
  7. Sugary Carnival JSK or OP in probably... black. I love how this print looks against the black and it would match my tote bag, haha~
  8. Dessert OP lavender (2008) and Dessert OP mint (2010). I love the look of these two and two of my favorite colors!
  9. Fantastic Dolly, preferably OP, in lavender or maybe even ivory. At first this dress was just pretty to me... but then I would see it, and like it more... and more... and more...
  10. Last, but not least. Dreamy Color Salopette in lavender. I owned this in mint, but I reallllly only want it in lavender. Maybe someday. Also, Cherry Berry Bunny in yellow, either JSK or OP!

Not in any specific order~ These are just some of the main pieces I want ; A ;

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 4!

Day 4 – 10 different kinds of food you like.

chocolate
  1. Chocolate! I absolutely love chocolate. Chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, milk chocolate, brownies, white chocolate, dark chocolate (but not too dark)! This may be why I love chocolate themed dresses and accessories, although I own none.
  2. Pizza and pastas~ yummy! Or should I say Italian foods? Alfredo, lasagna, manicotti (oh, I don't know if that is spelled right...), spaghetti.
  3. Ice cream, frozen yogurt, and custard- OH MY!
  4. Tex-Mex. Quesadillas, fajitas, soft tacos, refried beans, brown and yellow rice.
  5. Baked goods and pastries. Cakes, cookies, brownies, macarons, sweet breads, cupcakes... I like sweet things a little too much.
    macarons
  6. Chicken and turkey. THIS STUFF IS SO GOOD, but I only like the light meat parts.
  7. Stir fry and fried rice~
  8. Fruit and berries. I'm picky about them, but I like some, haha. Bananas, oranges, strawberries, peaches.
  9. Pancakes and waffles. So many different toppings to put on them and combine!
  10. Cream cheese and crackers. My favorite snack and I could eat it all day, every day.
Sorry this post was so short!

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 3!

Day 3 – 10 things you hate in lolita.

Angelic Pretty/hellolace
  1. I'll just say it now... THE COST. Lolita can be very expensive, even if you're not buying brand. I'm still one of those people who considers $50-$100 a lot of money, so when I'm spending $200 or so on a dress I am immediately looking in my bank account, figuring how much money I'll have at the end of my paycheck, thinking what kind of payment plan I will need, and if payment plans aren't accepted how much to save each pay and hope the item doesn't sell. It's terrible, but then when I have the item it is worth it just because I had a goal to obtain that piece and I did.
  2. To go along with number one and how much you spend on lolita... you worry about your items. "If I wear this here, will it get dirty?" "What if I sweat in this?" "I'm going to be eating and outside... should I wear something less expensive?" I have become a lot more aware of my surroundings and what not because of lolita. Depending on what I will be doing that day, I plan my outfit based on if something might happen to it. ; A ;
  3. The drama. Ex: bashing someone for only wearing bodyline/offbrand and vice versa (all brand). Name calling (fatty chan- hate this term). I have been really annoyed recently with all of the "sweet lolita is age play". ( __ __ )m The people saying this sound just as bad as the people saying "LOLITA IS FULL OF ELITIST BURANDO WHORE BITCHES" because you have not done any research. Sweet lolita is CHILDISH, but is is NOT age play. Seriously, look up age play- people in diapers, wanting to be fed from bottles... I like to wear dresses with toys and cute prints, but I sure as hell do not want to wear a diaper or some shit. In reality, we are all wearing freaking petticoats and "weird dresses", so why must we insult other styles? ~end rant.
  4.
    Photo from m*lanoo.
Cosplay lolita. Sorry, but I don't want to be looking for nice coords and see a lot of girls in cheap dresses covered in ruffles and lace saying "this is my lolita cosplay". There are lolita characters in anime and manga to cosplay, but lolita in general is a FASHION. Calling it cosplay just gives people more reason to believe I am walking around in a little bo peep costume.
  5. M!lan00 and people who support this company KNOWING what they have done to other people just because it's cheap. You want something cheap? Buy from taobao, re-sellers, second-hand, Bodyline... BUT DO NOT SUPPORT A COMPANY WHO SCAMS OTHER PEOPLE. You're just helping to keep them in business and give them profit.
  6. People who claim certain things "aren't lolita". Ex: Say I have facial piercings and I wear them with my lolita coords and someone tells me "that's not lolita, you shouldn't wear the facial piercings". Same for tattoos, religion, skin color, or going certain places (bars/clubs, etc).
  7. SUMMER HEAT. Living in Texas and wearing lolita in the summer can be HELL. I do sometimes go without a blouse- sorry, not sorry. I get heat sickness kind of easily and if not wearing a blouse means I will be a little cooler and I can still wear my outfit, then I will do it (so long as the outfit looks okay without a blouse).
  8. Negative comments from people. I hate when I am out shopping and I hear "why are you wearing THAT?" or "Hey, Alice(little bo peep, goldilocks, etc)- it isn't Halloween!" The one that really irritated me was probably when this adorable, little girl said "Mommy, look! I want to dress like her, she's a princess" (that made me so happy!) and then "What? You want to dress weird? She's no princess." EXCUSE ME?! Way to teach your daughter that dressing in anything but the "norm" is "weird"! People can be so close-minded.
  9. People feel they have every right in the world to HAVE A PICTURE OF ME. No. If I am walking though Walmart and I see you going to take a picture, prepare to: have me say something, turn around and make a lot of movement so all you get is blur, or you will be flipped off and my face will be covered. It may not be the most mature thing to do, but neither is taking someone's picture without their permission.
  10. You want everything. So many pretty skirts and dresses! Look at the cute shoes! I love those socks and tights! Wait... no money? I dpn't need them? I'll only wear that once... I'm trying to get better about this. I'm working on budgeting and getting things I can use a lot or things I actually REALLY want.

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ Day 2!

Day 2 – 10 things you love in lolita.

Local meet-up group shot.
  1. The clothing, duh! I love all of the beautiful and cute dresses. There are so many different styles, prints, colors... ♥(ノ´∀`)
  2. The hunt. That sounds so weird and serious~ I mean hunting for pieces you really want! The disappointment in missing out on a piece you've been looking for or not having the money for it right then is so heartbreaking... but then saving for it. Finding it. Finally getting to purchase it and then hold it. It is especially an amazing feeling for me to find good deals, since I try not to purchase things unless they are less than the average sale price (unless I REALLY want it, or have a stupid moment). It is also an amazing feeling to pay something off that you had a payment plan on!
  3. The best part - The people I have met and new friends I have because of this fashion. I have met a lot of sweet people in my community and have talked to very interesting people just because I was wearing lolita clothing.
  4. The meet-ups! I work 5-6 days a week (35+ hours) and it is nice to be able to get out! I get to be around other people who wear/love lolita and do fun activities and eat tasty foods. ♡
  5. The confidence I feel when I dress up. Since I work a lot and don't do much, I enjoy dressing up and putting effort into my appearance. It makes me feel pretty and happy with myself. I love hearing little girls say I'm a princess or saying they want to look like me. I love getting compliments while walking through the store with my boyfriend. I know I hear a lot of negative comments, get stared at, and have people take pictures of me to show their friends and make fun of... but the positive comments rule over the negative. ♡
  6. The quality. Oh, the quality. As a beginner, I had the mind-set "lolita is expensive." I owned Bodyline and my boyfriend bought me a Milky-Chan replica and I saved up for one or two handmade pieces (not by me). My mother bought me my first Angelic Pretty dress for Christmas 2011 and I. Fell. In. Love. The quality was wonderful! It was so soft, delicate, and just... amazing.

  7. The shoes~ even though I only own two pair >__> I need to buy more shoes. Anyways, I love tea parties. They are ADORABLE. There are so many different styles and colors... I love the bows, heart shaped buckles... I love the "chunky", platform lolita shoes and rocking horse shoes, too. The classical, elegant shoes that suite classic and gothic are beautiful. I could go on and on about the shoes, haha!
  8. The tights and socks. Whenever I first started to actually buy lolita clothing I thought "WHO WOULD SPEND THIS MUCH ON STUFF FOR YOUR FEET?!" and now I know... I will. I absolutely love printed tights and cute socks.
  9. Making a lovely coordinate! I love thinking of coordinates and imagining ways I would wear something. Once you finally have the pieces and can pull it together, it just feels magical! I also love seeing other people's coords, since everyone has there own unique way of pulling things together~
  10. The beauty. The clothing is beautiful, the inspiration is beautiful, and I have seen some of the more BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE EVER in the fashion.

30 Day Lolita Challenge ~ GO!

What is the 30 Day Lolita Challenge? Well, with each day their will be a different topic. I am going to try to make some of the more boring ones a little interesting, but we will see~
These are the topics, in order:
Day 17 – What do you want more then anything right now?
Day 18 – A picture of your favorite lolita style.
Day 19 – What’s in your make-up bag?
Day 20 – A picture of a lolita friend.
Day 21 – Your favorite fictional lolita.
Day 22 – A picture of your room.
Day 23 – A picture of your handwriting.
Day 24 – A picture of you from a meet.
Day 25 – Your favorite lolita themed artwork.
Day 26 – Your Facebook profile picture.
Day 27 – One song that fits your favorite lolita style.
Day 28 – A picture of the perfect lolita location.
Day 29 – A picture of a lolita you would love to meet for real.
Day 30 – A photo of yourself taken today and 3 good things that’s happened over the last 30
days.

Day 1 - 10 things about your lolita bubble.
(What is a lolita bubble?!)

  1. I have a major weakness for sweet lolita. I love all styles, but when I wear my sugary sweet dresses I just feel so cute and happy!
  2. I am a bit of an impulse buyer, but only if I am getting a good deal. I hate whenever I jump into trading/purchasing something and then realizing I didn't get a good deal (it has only happened about twice) and it will literally bother me for weeks.
  3.  I tend to buy things that I am in love with instead of getting things I need. Right now I really need blouses and bloomers. ; A ;
  4. I prefer JSKs over skirts and OPs. I have sooo many JSKs and only a few skirts and maybe 1 or 2 OPs. They are just so versatile and easy to coordinate with!
  5. I absolutely love going to meet-ups because it is nice to be around other people who love the same fashion as you do. The people in my community are so sweet, too!
  6. I am generally a very shy and socially awkward person, but for some reason when I wear lolita I feel very confident. I was scared going to my first meet-up, but once I got there I thought "I am around a lot of other girls wearing huge petticoats and weird dresses, why should I be scared to talk to them?" Haha!
  7. It gets REALLY hot in Texas and I tend to get sick easier in heat, so sometimes... I GO WITHOUT A BLOUSE.
  8. I found out about lolita fashion whenever I was in 7th grade. I looked at it a lot and once I got into eleventh grade (I think) I finally got my first lolita dresses from Bodyline. Oh, I looked terrible - but everyone starts somewhere.
  9. I have this thing about how I want to have a wardrobe with different styles and colors, so I sometimes make myself ignore pieces I want until I find them in a colorway I need more of (unless I want that specific piece in a specific color).
  10. When I am on the computer you can bet that I am looking at lolita. Either sales posts, outfit posts, or auction sites. It is terrible on my wallet, but I am forcing myself to cut back (mainly to buy Dream Sky re-release).

Happy International Lolita Day! ♡

I hope everyone had a wonderful Lolita Day!
I had to take my boyfriend home and work tonight, so my outfit is veryyy boring casual, seeing as the only thing I did was eat Taco Bell with my boo. (I was also a little rushed, since we were running behind on leaving, haha)

Anyways, here is my outfit:

Tomorrow is International Lolita Day (June 1)!

Hello lovelies! I'm sure most of you know tomorrow is Spring/Summer International Lolita Day~
I am going to have to work, unfortunately. I will be dressing up to go eat and take my boyfriend home, though. I have no idea what I will wear, yet (oh, no)! Some Lolitas do not treat this day as if it is any different from a regular day. I ~try~ to dress up this day, but do not really do anything super special. Do you "celebrate" or just go about your usual business?
